Yipee! Nigeria launches air conditioned trains


Lagos state govt in partnership with some Chinese firms recently launched this air conditioned trains. I hope to trythem out someday. The interior looks aiit.  See more pics below

  1. May sound interesting bt truly nt to me. If u go out shores of nigeria, train as a means of transport is very affordable bt here in Nigeria Its nt rather Its a way the govt enriches themselves.
    The tickets of the old train is @ 150 and recently increased to 250 and the executive part of it wif A/c is sold @ 500 which mostyms is usually empty or has very few passengers.
    Now there is a new train @ a cost of 750#, hw many can afford that on a daily basis, what happens to the common pepper seller....

  2. Most people in those places "out shores of Nigeria" cannot afford to ride in the 1st Class cabins of the trains they ride frequently. That is why the 'common' cabins are minimally equipped so as to take more people and the nicer cabins are always comparatively empty.
