Pastor & wife fight over church ownership in Enugu

Pastor Ralph Okebu (47) and his wife Prophetess (Mrs) Caroline Okebu are presently at loggerheads over ownership of their church, Victory Pentecostal Ministries International Incorporated based in Enugu state.

Right now, the church is divided into two factions. Members who belong to the camp of Pastor Ralph Okebu (47) turn up in the morning while those who hold allegiance to his wife, Prophetess (Mrs) Caroline Okebu (51) attend in the afternoon.

Before the worship arrangement was arrived at, congregants on both sides had fought physically over the use of the church auditorium located at Km 1 Enugu – Onitsha Expressway. According to a source, it took the intervention of the police to restore some form of order in the church, adding that policemen were stationed in the premises for two Sundays to avoid bloodshed.

When I saw this picture, I was just vexing and ranting. But after some time and critically thinking about it, I calmed down. I ask, why is it always negative images we portray of ourselves outside the shores of this country?
 What is actually wrong with being Nigerian? From South Africa, to Malaysia, Pakistan, Cyprus and now India. Is it something we're not getting right here at home. Even poorer African countries now deport Nigerians smh.
 I just pray and hope that someday, during my lifetime, I will live to see the glory of this "great" country restored.

Woman Crippled By NYSC Camp Commandant

Miss Mercy Okpithe joined the Dance Troupe on the Orientation Camp of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Anambra State in November 2012. But four months later she was severely beaten up by the Camp Commandant.

Captain S.O. Beke attacked her about 11:00p.m on Monday, March 18, this year. She allegedly fainted and was rushed to the camp clinic. The following day, she was transferred to the Anambra State University Teaching Hospital, Awka. At the hospital, she was diagnosed with dislocation of coccyx, a small triangular bone at the base of the spinal column.

The hospital further referred her to the National Orthopaedic Hospital, Igbobi, Lagos, for special attention. It was gathered that she might be flown abroad for surgery.

Governor Amaechi Donates $100,000 To OJB?

If this news is true, then its incredible! Gov of Rivers State,Rotimi Amaechi just approved the sum of 100,000USD,the total money expected to get Music Producer OJB the required medical treatment.

Man With Bashed-in Skull Awarded $58 million Payout

A man left with half a bashed-in skull and permanent brain damage after a bar room beating has been awarded $58 million (£38 million) by a Californian jury.

Antonio Lopez Chaj, a 43-year-old house painter, can no longer speak and requires 24-hour nursing after the attack three years ago.

His lawyers said a security guard beat Mr Chaj unconscious with a baton, repeatedly kicked him in the head and smashed his skull against a pavement four times. Part of his skull was missing when he reached the hospital.

"Pastor" Taribo West Arrives in Ghana to Spread Word of God

The 41-year-old is said to be set to embark on his international broadcasting of the word of God. This will the first time the former international center-back is in Ghana.
West represented the Nigerian national team in the 1998 and 2002 World Cups. He is known for the various unusual and colourful hairstyles that he has sported over the years. He has been capped 41 times by the Nigerian national team and played in the 1998 and (all matches and minutes) and 2002 FIFA World Cup (two appearances). He was also a member of the Nigerian team that won the gold medal at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia.
West is expected to visit various congregations in Accra for the period within which he will stay in Ghana.
